It is most useful for organizations with a small user base or with small or decentralized IT departments. The stand-alone installation requires each product to be individually activated on each computer. Agents must be removed and version 12.2 installed again through the application or re-installed via the agent installer. If thats possible, that would save me bunch of time.Due to improved security standards, Dameware12.2 is not compatible with older agent versions. I can make another MSI file which contains the settings (corrected) i want and then use that for updating the remote machine. So my question is, after the update, does the remote machine keep its settings from the previous version, if yes then how can i force the update to add settings that i choose rather then it using the old one? is that possible at all? So i thought why not using this update option (which im gonna have to do anyway) to add that one setting i forgot. I dont mind doing that but the thing is that i forgot to add a setting in all the clients iv installed which i do want to correct. My issue is as follows: Whenever i use the Mini Remote controller to get acces to a computer, it gives me the msg that the client version is not as the remote controller, and then it gives me the option of updating the client agent. We recently had our computer updated which included the installation of Dameware thru a MSI file. I am working for a company and we use Dameware for support in our company. ![]()
